Therapy doesn’t have to end the moment you feel better. Many people find it reassuring and helpful to plan occasional “check-in” sessions after their main course of CBT.
What are maintenance/booster sessions?
They are follow-up appointments spaced further apart (for example, after 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months). They are designed to:

-
Review how you’re doing and any challenges that have come up
-
Refresh and strengthen the CBT tools you’ve learned
-
Prevent small setbacks from growing into bigger difficulties
Support you in building confidence that you can manage on your own

Why do they help?
Research shows that people who plan booster sessions are more likely to maintain their progress, feel more resilient, and are less likely to relapse into old patterns of anxiety or depression. NICE guidance (the UK’s official recommendations) also supports this approach for relapse prevention.
How often would I come?
That’s flexible. Some people like one or two planned sessions in the months after therapy. Others book a package of 6 or 12 review sessions, spread across a year. Others like to arrange adhoc sessions as needed - it is completely up to you. The aim is always to give you the right balance of independence and support.
Packages
Includes six sessions over six months, usually spaced monthly though the timing is completely up to you. Each session costs £90 and is paid for individually at the time of the session.
12-Month Booster Package - 20% discount
Includes twelve sessions, typically spread across the year, but again the timing is completely up to you. Each session costs £80 and is paid for individually at the time of the session.
